Probably the most natural use of an autonomous mobile robot is having a "camera on wheels". Being able to manuever a high resolution security camera to an area not normally covered by video surveillance is a highly prized function in commercial, industrial, and homeland security applications. But having a camera that can automatically dispatch itself to an alarm area and analyze the situation for specific criteria is something out of Star Trek. Well "beam us up" because it exists today!
