We specialize in autonomous, mobile service robots. Unlike previous generations of AGVs, line followers, and tele-operated avatars, our robots know where they are, know where they are going, and know how to get there.

For example, the SpeciMinder™ like all CCSRobotics solutions, is a result of combining an autonomous mobile robot base with a payload specifically designed to suit a particular task.

The Robot Part

All of the navigation, localization, path planning, and power systems are designed into the robot base supplied by MobileRobots. With over 10 years of experience designing autonomous platforms, the bases solve the hard part of navigating in a dynamic environment allowing most of the design effort to be directed toward perfecting the application.

The Application Part

The payload, in this case a carrier designed to transport specimen containers, is attached to the robot base. MobileRobots Indoors™, allows easy integration of external systems, sensors, and user interface. This way, each deployment can be quickly customized to suit a new installation environment.

Facility Integration

Using Suprex®Technology developed by Cypress Computer Systems, wireless integration into a facility's security, access control, and building automation systems is accomplished with minimal additions.

R. Frances Speciminder is one of more famous robots. She has been working in a hospital pathology lab, since October 2006. She travels about 2000 miles per year, executes about 32,000 individual delivery runs, opens

doors as necessary about 50,000 times, handles 5000 recharge cycles, and remains operational and available 98% of the time over a 24 hour by 7 day per week shift. Luckily she doesn't complain about working overtime or holidays.
